These two completely redesigned Gucci, preparing it for the next generation by departing from GG’s outdated ideas that were holding the brand back. The design duo removed the historic faces of the brand, such as Jackie Kennedy and Grace Kelly, and replaced them with more modern-day celebrities such as Rhianna, Lana Del Rey and Harry Styles. Alessandro Michele has been praised for his work making fashion more gender-fluid, unique and fun meanwhile still keeping to the high standard of Guccio Gucci’s original work.
